Expanse
Inspane

Photography by

"The photographs collected in “Expanse Inspanse” investigate the silent moments that insert themselves between and around our performances of our selves. The images of landscapes gesture toward an expansive world that is larger than our performative or social selves while the close-ups—on farm equipment from the Nebraska countryside or stray objects outside of a telephone pole manufacturing factory—pause to make space for the textures and surfaces of these silent, inert objects that occupy the periphery of our lives to reflect back their own small, weathered contributions to the stillness surrounding and flowing through the spaces within the urgent productions of our lives."
